Souvenirs du village de Stembert
L'approfondissement du chœur date d'environ 1780. Toutes les boiseries y contenues et le maître autel ont été achetés à un monastère d'Aix-la-Chapelle par la famille Winandy, à une époque indéterminée, vers 1801 pense-t-on.

Only 4 years, 4 years already !
Times ago, when my hardware was up-to-date, it was not so difficult to work with internet stuff as it is now. Now the years are gone away and will never come back, we have to deal with new technologies that grows every day. But my poor hardware is the same as it was in 1999, when I started this project.

Dom Jacques Winandy, a Benedictine monk from Belgium, who spent seven years on Vancouver Island in the 1960s founding a remote hermitage, died recently at his home abbey in Clervaux, Luxembourg. He was 96 years old.
