combat.

.....WINANDY have the same origin, it is the name WINAND latinized (WINANDUS) according to formerly vogue, and which genitives, WINANDI, WINANDY, means "from WINAND", or son of WINAND.

Most ancient references we have found to WINANDY, are from Petit-Rechain, where a priest named WINANDUS is quoted in 1193.

In XIII th. century, a landmark of Petit-Rechain is placed in Jean WINANDY's farm.

Apr. 15, 1685 - Jean WINANDY, forrest guard; August 13, 1706, the same resigns.

1688 - Jacques WINANDY, forrest guard;

1739 - Abbot Pierre WINANDY, Lambermont;
